where we come from
Founded by Fred Craig and Roger Brown, BCT Design Group began as a boutique graphics and retail design firm, emphasizing community in every project. Our early work, like Cross Keys in Baltimore and Columbia Town Center, set the stage for a legacy of innovative, community-focused design.
With the addition of Bryce Turner and Bob Gehrman in the mid-90s, we diversified our services and evolved into BCT Architects. By 2016, merging with Development Design Group, we expanded our expertise in mixed-use developments globally and rebranded to BCT Design Group.
Our hallmark is integrating urban fabric into suburban architecture, emphasizing synergy, usability, and social benefit. We specialize in creating pedestrian-friendly spaces, ensuring every project enhances community connection and beauty.
